STEM to Stern Internship Program

STEM to Stern is at the forefront of change in rowing, helping rowing clubs become more accessible, diverse and competitive. We are looking for interns to support our team over the summer. All positions have flexible hours and are fully remote.

Social Media Intern

The Social Media Intern will create fun and engaging content to grow STEM to Stern’s online community and share its inspiring mission. They’ll also track club performance and bring fresh ideas to digital outreach!

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Instagram, TikTok, Canva, Google Drive, Facebook, and Youtube.

Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will help spread the word about STEM to Stern by creating exciting campaigns and content that connect with new audiences. They’ll also explore creative ways to engage supporters, assist with fundraising campaigns, and grow our impact.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Canva, Squarespace, and Google Drive.

Partnerships Intern

The Partnerships Intern will build meaningful connections with rowing clubs, schools, and sponsors to help expand opportunities for more students. They’ll play a key role in growing our network and making a lasting difference!

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Google Drive, grant writing, and fundraising.

STEM Intern

The STEM Intern will bring hands-on learning to life, helping students explore science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and interactive way. They’ll work alongside STEM leads at each program to curate new curricula and to make STEM exciting and accessible for all!

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Google Drive, youth engagement, and STEM education.

Required Qualifications for all Interns

  • Understanding that this is an unpaid internship opportunity

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Passion for STEM to Stern mission and diversity in rowing/STEM

  • Ability to collaborate while completing tasks independently

  • Comfortable with remote work and virtual meetings
